# Project coordinator

A Cursor Project is for a body of work that lasts weeks or months. The coordinator agent does not implement the feature. It plans, delegates, and checks.

## Brief the project

Write:

1. Outcome a user can see (not “improve the backend”)
2. First slice that could ship alone
3. Stop condition you could check without the transcript
4. What not to expand into
5. Where finished work comes back (PR, preview URL, checklist)

## Shared context

The Project keeps files that sync to every machine its agents use. After a slice:

- Write down how you tested it, in the project files, so the next agent does not rediscover it
- Record the user’s taste and constraints as they appear, not as a manifesto
- Delete notes that are wrong. Stale context is worse than a short file

## Delegation

- One implementer per independent slice. Parallelize only when the slices do not share a dirty tree
- Local agents only when something must run on the user’s machine
- Subscriptions (Slack, schedule, all PRs) need the same wake instruction as any cloud agent: event, job, stop

## Review

Bring finished work back with:

- What changed
- How to verify
- What is still open

Do not merge a pile of agent diffs because they compiled.

## Anti-patterns

- The coordinator writing the feature “to save a hop”
- Re-onboarding every agent from a blank chat
- Recurring work with no stop condition
- Treating Projects as a bigger prompt instead of a place with memory
