Cursor sits inside SpaceXAI. Grok 4.7 is the long-run coding model in the picker. That is not a reason to turn this domain into a Grok blog, or into a second prompt dump for ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
The scarce thing here is still a file that changes the next edit in Cursor. Rules, skills, prompts, recipes. Grok news, model leaderboards, and “prompts for every chatbot” are a search problem. We already refused that job when we refused to clone a directory of plugins.
What we cover
- Cursor the product — how you brief agents, pin skills, subscribe, start from scratch, run a Project, ship the last mile.
- Grok inside Cursor — when to pick Grok 4.7 for a long coding or knowledge run, and how to brief it so it still ships a slice. That is the Grok long run skill.
- Other models — only if they change a file in
.cursor/. A system prompt for ChatGPT does not. An MCP server belongs on /updates, not in the kit list.
What we will not cover
- Recapping x.ai announcements as if they were installable kits
- A Grok-flavored restyle of the studio (the product name on the box is still Cursor)
- Parallel packs for every lab’s chatbot. Taste rules are already model-agnostic. Duplicate them per vendor and the list dies.
The test
If the next post would still make sense after you swap “Cursor” for “any AI coding tool,” it does not belong here. If it tells you which .mdc or SKILL.md to put in front of the agent this week, it does.
